screen printed textiles
Adelyn Naragon is a screen printer/textile designer/color enthusiast. I create one of a kind wall hangings, weavings, and smaller prints for homes, along with a variety of accessories. All of my work is printed on either wool or silk using dyes, and is finished by hand in Portland, OR.
My adventure in textiles began at Penland School of Crafts, where I took a summer class on fabric dyeing and printing. This class inspired me to find my own studio space where I could continue to mix dyes and screen print my designs. I bought a sewing machine, taught myself the basics, and started sewing my printed fabrics to make other beautiful things. Having my own studio space (no matter how bare bones and fully DIY) to experiment and make a mess in gave me room to develop my style.
Currently, I most enjoy dying wool yardage and sewing it into clothing, using the scraps for patchwork pieces, and incorporating elements of weaving into my work. I love to create useful objects and wearable art from my dyed fabric.
